Energetic midfielder Alex MacDonald first joined the club as a Goalkeeper vying for a first-team slot against Liam Weaver and Mike Adams. After finding his chances limited he was used as a midfielder playing centrally or down the flanks. MacDonald left the club after winning Clubman Of The Year that season, during the summer of 2008 but returned to sign a new one-year contract at the club. MacDonald is now plying his trade as a defender and has impressed in his appearances, he has been given the the Manager's role after James Naik stepped down in the summer of 2009.
