Chris Townsend joined We Hate Ben in their inargual season of 2006-07 and proved an instant success with the fans with his tricks and skills. Townsend originally started in midfield but has since become the clubs first choice left-back. Townsend won the Player's Player of the Year award in 2006-07 and the following season continued his excellent performances and even scored his first goal against Gigolo Warriors. Townsend is one of the clubs key players and his final season should see him become recognised as one of the ADL's star attractions. Townsend is the clubs record appearance holder, but sadly left the club after three years in 2009.
