Jason Dodsworth

DOB: 10/12/86 (Age 23)
Born: Birmingham
Nationality: English
Position: Defender
Number: 2

Jason Dodsworth joined We Hate Ben in their inaugural season of 2006-07. Dodsworth was originally brought in as a specialist right-back but after some lackluster performances was moved onto the right of midfield before being touted as a long-term replacement for injured central-midfielder James Naik. Some impressive performances in the middle of the park and a first goal against Sex Panthers saw Dodsworth stake his claim before returning to club halfway through the second season only to see his chances limited. After impressing in training Dodsworth returned to the right-back position and became first choice, winning the award for Most Improved Player along the way. He is a reliable and strong tackling full-back who needs to sort out his concentration to become one of the ADL's better full-backs. Dodsworth left the club after three long years in the summer of 2009, before returning after only a year away in summer 2010. Dodsworth's fourth season was his best yet for the club, winning Senior Player Of The Year 2010-11 and adding to his goals tally. A reliable, hard-working right-back who has played more games then any other We Hate Ben player in history. A true great who will be difficult to replace because of his commitment and leadership. Left the club after his contract ended for the final time after four seasons.

  3. My performances were not 'lacklustre'. That word implies that I wasn't putting in the effort, if anything I was putting in too much effort.

I think I deserve a better appraisal of an entire season of playing than that.
