Darrell Rees joined the club in the 2006-07 transfer window and has since made a big impact. A strong centre-back with great awareness, Rees can also bring the ball out from the defence. Rees has also scored one goal for the club, a stunning free-kick against FC Blitzkreig which saw him win the Goal Of The Season Award. Rees has been handed the armband for this season and is hoped to leave his mark on his teammates. His performances were rewarded by his Manager when he was awarded the Manager's Player Of The Year. Rees won Senior Player Of The Year in 2009-10, and decided to step down as captain at the season's end after two years. Rees did however sign a new one-year deal and will still be an important player as a newly converted midfielder. The former captain decided to leave the club after nearly over three years service at the end of 2010.
