League Two: We Hate Ben 2-6 Y Geltaidd

We Hate Ben rescued themselves from what could have been an appalling defeat with two goals in an excellent second half performance. Y Geltaidd, who last year beat We Hate Ben in a record Aberystwyth Digs League match 22-0 were looking for more of the same against the SoocerJoos. Despite good resistance at the beginning of the match with WHB playing a 4-5-1 formation, the first-half ended with WHB 5-0 down despite strong performances by Gareth Harvey and Liam Weaver in goal. A knock to Jay Harding and a fading Mike Adams in midfield saw the team lose two goals in a few minutes before the break as were substituted. A few changes in midfield that saw Lewis Wright brought on the left-side saw improvements until the formation was changed to 4-4-2 and Iain Giessler brought back on to partner Michael Jones up front. A goal apiece from Jones then Ross Pope saw WHB fight back but by then the damage had been done.

Next up on Thursday is a friendly against rivals Sex Panthers and El Diablos on Sunday.
