League Two: We Hate Ben 1-2 Multiple Scoregasms

We Hate Ben lost to Multiple Scoregasms in a match billed to be the decider in the race for the play-offs. We Hate Ben will now need to pick themselves up from the defeat which left them six points adrift of sixth place with three matches to go.

The SoccerJoos were undone in the first five minutes of this encounter when they conceded two sloppy goals, the first with a huge suspicion of offside. The rest of the first half saw the two teams battling for supremacy while the second turned out to be exciting. WHB chased for the goal to get them back into the game and scored within the first ten minutes with a deflected goal from Iain Giessler, which looked as though they were going to get something from the game. WHB battered the Multiple Scoregasms defence but still looked suspect when caught on the break, and as the minutes ticked away the battle proved more and more frivolous, although there were two refereeing decisions which could have turned the game on its head. Gareth Harvey was hacked down cynically while through on goal which should have resulted in a red card, but a yellow was only given, while a penalty might have been given in the last minute due to a handball only for the keeper to cover and clear.

Team (4-4-2) Weaver, Warren - Harding - Rees - Townsend, Giessler - Thomas - Pope- Sermon, Jones, Harvey.

Goals: Giessler

Man of the match: Harding

Subs: MacDonald, Cross, Court, Hankin, Roberts, Nugent, Dodsworth, Wright, Adams.
