Goalkeeper turned midfielder Alex MacDonald left the club today after weeks of rumours finally came to fruition. MacDonald who joined the club last summer was unhappy in the area and wanted to move on.
At first it was thought that he had signed a contract extension to stay on for a year but has now decided the time is right. MacDonald made a few appearances for We Hate Ben mainly from the bench but was a fan favourite.

MacDonald had this to say on his departure "I would like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to have a wonderful year here, and it is with a great sadness that I move on. I would like to particularly thank the fans who have taken me into their hearts and hope that one day in the future I would could return should the opportunity arise."
Manager James Naik was also known to be a fan of MacDonald for his commitment and versatility and he will now be looking for a replacement in the same mould.
