We Hate Ben boss James Naik has been in talks with a handful of players as he looks to replace departed players and strengthen the squad for next seasons assault on the top six.In earlier reports Naik revealed that he had been in talks with Jack Jones, who plays as a centre back. Naik is believed to be waiting for permission to speak to him formally. The other player who had been previously mentioned was Nick Thomas, a left-winger. Talks are believed to be ongoing.
We Hate Ben have also spoken to several other players including Alastair England and Joe Szwaba, while there are thought to be at least three others.
Alastair England is predominately a pacy winger who can play not only on either side of midfield, but at full-back too. England is a versatile player who would be an excellent addition to the squad.
Meanwhile Joe Szwaba is a goalkeeper who at first will cover for ADL Goalkeeper Of The Year Liam Weaver, but Naik is believed to want Szwaba to push Weaver for a first-team place. Szwaba was recommended to Naik by striker James Peate.
Also on the radar in recent weeks have been David Daniels and other players who have been plying their trade for Gigolo Warriors. The talk of a merger in the press has died down in recent weeks but We Hate Ben are believed to be keeping their options open.
I don't want any new players. They will probably be pricks and i will have to kick off and do them all hehe
