Multi-talented Chris Webster has shown himself to be a very good addition to the squad in preseason. Webster is praised for his cool head on the ball and versatility, as he can play a number of positions across the back, currently cementing himself as first choice centre-back. Webster made his debut against Colenso Colts in 2008, and although beginning the season on the bench, Webster has been excellent over the second half of the season and will start the season as first choice. Webster is the holder of the youngest player record. Webster will become assistant manager and will take over the vacant captaincy for the new season following the changes in the summer of 2010. A good season for Webster despite a persistant back injury which often sees him playing through the pain has seen Webster take over the managerial reigns to become We Hate Ben's fifth manager for the upcoming season. The injury problems may cause Webster to take more of a sideline role despite being a player-manager, but he has a chance to create his own team with the loss of several long-standing players this summer.
