We Hate Ben were handed a lesson in how to finish after being beaten by a scoreline that greatly flattered their opponents. The SoccerJoo's started the game brightly and frequently got in behind the Pandas defence only to find the chance not taken. Striker James Peate has a torrid time in front of goal seeing his shots saved by the goalkeeper. The central midfield paring of Adam Edgerley and Paresh Bodalikar had good games and their dominance in the middle led to opportunities. It is also worth noting that left-back Matt L'argent put in another solid performance that leaves Manager James Naik with some happily accepted tough selection decisions.
After conceding yet again from a corner at the end of the first half, Naik used all his substitutes with an eye on Wednesday's league match against Colenso Colts. Alex MacDonald thundered in a header from a corner and leveled the match just after the restart. However, it didn't all go well from there as defensive errors and a lack of cohesion in midfield saw We Hate Ben concede some sloppy goals and some good long range efforts from the Pandas which saw another six goals conceded.
After losing the match in such a manner Naik was believed to be disapointed but not despondant as he saw enough in the first hour of the match to be optimistic about the league match.
