Injury blow for MacDonald

Full-back Stuart Fleming has been told that he will face a major operation to combat the injuries that kept him out for long periods of his debut season, leaving him only able to make just three appearances. The utility player who is currently on holiday, has to undergo surgery to his lower left leg and foot in September, and isn't expected to return to training until at least Christmas. The blow will see Alex MacDonald have to step up his search for full-backs, since last seasons first-team players Chris Townsend and Jason Dodsworth have already left the club, leaving only Matt L'argent as a recognised full-back.
