We Hate Ben manager James Naik has blasted a supporters group for their treatment towards former player-manager Alex MacDonald. Naik made these comments:
"The We Hate Ben Supporters Group if it can even be called a 'supporters group' has been a thorn in this clubs side for a while now and I don't understand why it carries on causing trouble. I shouldn't really be saying this but it is well-known that the WHBSG were involved when the allegations were made about a current player, which forced us to suspend this player until an investigation was completed. This latest outburst from the group has brought up something that had be dealt with and it sickens me that they are allowed to carry on making these vile attacks on management, staff and ex-players. I shook hands with Alex before and after the game and we even discussed the match afterwards, as far as we are concerned it is water under the bridge and finished with. We remain friends. I urge any 'real' fans to ignore this group and only trust official sources for news and information. We have another important match coming up in two days and we certainly don't need distractions from a group of people who know nothing about the internal workings of a football club."
