Friendly: We Hate Ben XI 6-5 We Hate Ben Oldboys XI

We Hate Ben won in stoppage time with a Rhys Jones goal having been behind several times throughout the match against WHB Oldboys.

Oldboys took the lead with Ross Pope, before a foul by James Naik on Rhys Jones saw WHB equalise through a Chris Webster penalty. Alexander Fleming put WHB in front but James Peate levelled matters with goal that had suspicions of offside. A second Webster penalty saw WHB go into half-time 3-2 up.

Naik made amends with a fantastic long-range effort to tie the game for the third time, and a special Darrell Rees free-kick saw Oldboys take the lead for the second time. Matt Davies saw a speculative effort fumbled into his own net by goalkeeper Steve Whittaker, the match now poised at 4-4. A second Rees free-kick saw Olboys take the lead a third time, but Mark Healy's scrappy equaliser and Jones late cross goal strike saw WHB take home the We Hate Ben Trophy for the third consecutive year.
