This years Oldboys match, will took place at Cae Baker, the home of Penrhyncoch FC saw the Oldboys dominate a near full-strength We Hate Ben side from start to finish, scoring six goals and keeping a first clean-sheet in the history of the Oldboys Spoon.
We Hate Ben Oldboys started with oldest-ever player Gareth Harvey in goal, making his debut at Oldboys. Matt L'argent made his debut for the Oldboys at left-back and Matt Davies did the same in midfield. Jason Dodsworth, Jack Thomas, Lee Pemberton, Ross Pope, Hywel Williams, James Naik and Ben Court finished the starting eleven. Chris Townsend, Rich Cross and John Warren were on the bench, while Dave Turvill also made his first appearance for Oldboys from the bench.
We Hate Ben started with James Phillips in goal, Matt Davies, Chris Webster, Peter Thomas and Stuart Fleming in defence, Rhys Jones, Harry Oliver, Ryan Muir, Alex Muscroft and Jordan Watkins in midfield, and Jay Walker up front. Jack Kelly, Scott Wilson, Dan Johnson, Will McIlhiney, Dan Fellows, Tom Svendsen, Joey Scutt and James Amos made up the bench.
The first-half was fairly open but Oldboys were the side to make their chances count. Matt Davies opened the scoring with a left-footed effort, and Hywel Williams doubled their lead before half-time. Lee Pemberton scored in the second-half from a corner and got booked for taking off his shirt, Darrell Rees scored another fantastic free-kick, having scored two in last year's Oldboys. Williams scored with a fantastic finish to make it 5-0, then Ross Pope scrambled home with only minutes to spare to make it 6-0 and gave Oldboys their first ever win.
