Gareth Harvey joined We Hate Ben in 2006 and brought in some much needed experience into a young team. As a striker Harvey has some pace but had been criticised for his finishing despite ending both 2006-07 and 2007-08 with in second for goals scored. After winning the Goal of the Season, Senior Player of the Year and Player of the Year in 2006-07, Harvey signed a new contract despite rumours about retirement. The 2007-08 season saw him as playing at centre-back as well as up front. Harvey scored a hat-trick this season against Gigolo Warriors and is now the clubs highest ever goalscorer with 10 goals. Harvey is the holder of the oldest player record.
