Jack Thomas became James Naik's first signing as manager and is expected to fill the hole left in midfield by former Callowbrook Swifts team-mates Naik and Jason Dodsworth. A player with pace, Naik hopes he can drive the midfield forward as well as breaking down opposition attacks. Won Best New Signing in 2007-08. Jack Thomas will be expected to become an even more important player in his third season, and did so operating at right-back. Thomas stepped down as assistant-manager and decided to leave the club after three years in summer 2010, and was gutted to have missed out on a chance to play in the ADL Shield Final after a freak accident ended his season just before the match. Thomas was a favourite and he will be missed after all the service he gave the side during his stint.
