Welshman Michael Jones joined on a free transfer in 2007. A striker who scored 7 goals in only 9 appearances last season which saw him win the Top Goalscorer Award. Jones can also play in defence and midfield but due to his striking form he spent the season up front with a variety of partners. Jones has recently been converted back into a central defender and will be looking to be amongst the goals still with his aerial threat at set-pieces. Jones left the club after two years in the summer of 2009.
