Lee Mackin was brought to the club during the transfer window to act as cover in the squad. An attacking player, Mackin was primarily a striker but played down the right wing during Pemberton's tenure. Mackin left the club during the summer of 2007 and now played for Black Lion FC (now ATFC Lions) last season. Mackin was rumoured to be unhappy at the new club and rejoined the SoccerJoos after a succesful trial spell in 2009. Mackin was released from the club halfway through the season after failing to make an appearance.
