WHB played their first Digs League Division One game against a team who were also new to the league. Aber S.P.O.T.S were playing their second game and were looking for their first point. Boss and Captain Lee Pemberton started with a 4-4-2 which saw them start brightly taking the lead early on with a strike by Pope. Some problems at the back for WHB saw them concede two before scoring the equaliser through Harvey. Some suspect substituions in the second half after problems with Jay Harding and Chris Townsend saw some players playing several positions which helped Aber Spots as they raced into the lead. Naik gave away a penatly and Adams made an error which saw a shot loop across him. Pemberton needs to work on his tactics as he made some strange substitutions and WHB need to work on fitness as several players struggled to complete the whole game.
1. Adams [8] Had an excellent game, making some superb saves
2. Dodsworth [6] Sometimes got too far forward and left gaps at the back, otherwise solid
15. Thomas [6] Had a solid game at the back. Made some good runs forward
6. Harding [6] A rock in defence before his fitness got the better of him
5. Warren [4] Calamitous at the back. Needs to drastically improve
13. Cross [6] Struggled on the wing where he was often isolated
7. Naik [6] Versitile as he was moved all over the place. Gave away penalty
8. Townsend [6] Struggled with fitness before injuries took control. Good play when he was able
11. Harvey [Good in attack, scored one and set up Pope, needs a partner with more pace]
3. Pemberton [7] Average up front, better when played at back. Struggled with fitness but hit the post late on
4. Pope [6] Good game on the wing and decent in middle. Excellent touch
Subs
12 Court [4] Didn't make an impact but only got on for a few mins
13 Cooper [4] Tried hard but looks out of depth
14 Doran [4] Struggled for fitness and squandered a good oppurtunity
