Talented full-back Dave Norbury was brought in to act as cover for Matt L'argent and replacing appearance record holder Chris Townsend. However, no-one will be suprised if if he manages to make the position his own over the course of the season. Norbury took leave from the club in February, but returned after a couple of months. After an excellent season in which Norbury was one of the most consistent players he was rewarded with the captaincy and will be expected to lead by example. Unfortunatley Norbury decided to seek pastures new despite the captaincy and left the club in August 2011. Norbury later changed his mind and decided he would like to return to the club and signed a new one-year deal, much to the delight of manager Chris Webster.
