We Hate Ben midfielder Adam Edgerley says he is "committed to the club and fans" and is "looking forward to working with new manager Matt L'argent". Twenty-two year-old Edgerley, had been linked to rivals On the Pier and Sex Panthers since the club failed to win any silverware last season. "I am looking forward to the challenge ahead," Edgerley told the club's website. "My commitment and loyalty to the club and to the fans is the same as it was on my first day when I signed." WHB finished fourth last season in the Kanes' League Two, achieving their highest ever points total although failing to win a trophy, with manager James Naik also leaving the club after three years in charge. However, with a new season approaching the WHB star is keen to fire the Soccerjoos back towards the top of the League and begin challenging for trophies again. "This is one of the best clubs in the Aberystwyth so the targets and expectations are always high," added Edgerley who arrived on a free transfer in September 2008. Edgerley was visited in Chester during the summer by L'argent who later said he expected the midfielder to stay at the club. The Aylesbury born Midfielder who enjoyed a successful season last year has admitted L'argent's visit played an important part his decision to commit to We Hate Ben.
"I really appreciated the fact that Matt came out to see me while I was on my holidays," stated Edgerley. "He told me about his plans for the club and what he wanted from me and I appreciated that. I hope he will be the right man to reach the targets of We Hate Ben Football Club and I am really looking forward to working with him."
