Aberystwyth Town Cup match postponed

We Hate Ben's proposed first round tie against FC Phoenix has been postponed indefinitely by the Aberystwyth Digs League. The match was unlikely to have been played anyway due to the current weather problems, but the official reason was given as there being too many clubs who have not fulfilled official league requirements.

In other news relating to the Aberystwyth Town Cup, the ADL had announced that any teams who lost in the preliminary or first round proper, would be dropped into the hat for a new cup competition. This new competition is currently called the 'ADL Consolation Shield', but it is not a replacement for the ADL Consolation Cup which is currently held by ATFC Lions. That competition is still scheduled to continue as normal at the end of the season.
