Former team captain and legendary We Hate Ben player Darrell Rees, has agreed a mutual termination of his contract after nearly three years at the club. The midfielder has decided to return to England in order to be closer to his family.
28-year-old Rees joined the club in 2008, halfway through the sides second season and scored from a long-range free-kick on his debut. When starting his first full season, he was awarded the captaincy and he held the position for two-years, winning a trophy in 2009. He quit his role this season in order to focus on playing and give the club a fresh start after losing in the Trophy final last year.
Rees will be sorely missed and now Matt L'argent may have to have to look for a replacement in midfield.
