Amos wants to make a bigger impact

We Hate Ben midfielder James Amos has declared that he hopes to make a bigger impact on the pitch in the upcoming season. With regular central midfielder Matt Davies having now left the club, 18-year-old Amos will have a chance to cement himself as We Hate Ben's first choice central midfielder when the season begins.

Amos said: "I had a mixed first season on the pitch and was in and out of the team. I never really hit my peak and especially now that the brilliant Matt Davies has left, I'm hoping to become a regular in the side. Over the summer now I will be helping new boss Chris [Webster] and (his assistant) Stuart [Fleming]  to find new players for the new season. What I will say to any prospective players is that this is a great team to play for and there is a fantastic atmosphere in and around the club. It's been said before that We Hate Ben is like a family and I'd definitely agree.

New players are required for the upcoming season after the departure of key players such as Davies, Nathan Leach, Dave Turvill, Ian Hanmore-Farrugia and former player-manager Matt L'argent. Amos continued: "Its obviously a blow to lose some top quality players like we have done, but towards the end of the season we were missing some regular players but the entire team was pulling together and putting in some excellent performances. We were very unlucky last season, we were dominating games without getting the deserved
results. Hopefully with some fresh players, we can correct that and maybe even win some trophies."
