We Hate Ben manager Chris Webster has announced that he plans to implement a strict training regime for the club's pre-season, and is currently testing it out on himself. Webster plans to put his troops through their paces to prepare them for the upcoming campaign and to help the squad bond with each other and the expected influx of new players.
Webster has already signed three new players and has a host of trialists coming in September, and he wants to get the team as fit as possible by doing fitness and ball work before making any decisions. Webster said "Over the course of the last week I have started a diet to improve my physique as I heard a couple of players had already started preparation. I am working hard using a fitness program and if it is successful I will use it in my training sessions. I have already started planning the preseason and although we will be doing some running and such, I also want the players to play as much football as possible, and with the help of my staff we will be organising as many pre-season friendlies as we can. I expect good things from the current squad and with the new additions and trialists I believe we can be successful this season, but we will have to put in a good shift to get us going first. I might be the manager but I'm also a player and want to be in the best condition I can before I meet everyone and the new players."
