Aberystwyth Digs League reveal new play-off structure

The Aberystwyth Digs League have announced the new play-off system, which sees changes to both the Shield, Plate and Consolation Cup and the removal of the Wooden Spoon play-off..

While the Champions Cup will remain as a four-team play-off, the Shield, Plate and Consolation Cup becomes a eight-team play-off, featuring quarter-finals. The wooden spoon will now be awarded to one of the four teams who finish bottom, with the worst record.

At present We Hate Ben can only realistically be one of the two teams qualifying for the Consolation Cup from Serie A, and are most likely to be joined by Balls Deep. At present if leagues were to finish now they would be joined by Phoenix and Abertina of  the Bundesliga, Talibanter of La Liga (due to Gwatch not being allowed into the play-offs, Unbelieveable Tekkers would join in the Plate play-off) and ATFC Lions, Ajax Treesdown and LSD Eindhoven of the Premier League. This system means that WHB could play two, three or four games before the season finishes.
