
We Hate Ben have announced that their will be a big player and staff overhaul over the summer. After Alex MacDonald took over from James Naik in the Managerial hotseat, there has been some speculation over who at the club will remain. This article will focus on staff changes.
MacDonald has yet to announce who will become his new Assistant Manager, with Ben Court ceasing his role to focus on playing. However, Striker James Peate has become a player-coach, joining Jack Thomas and Matt Sermon, taking the coaching staff to three members.
After Liam Weaver's contract ended, a new scout(s) will be needed, with many suggesting that current player Chris Webster may be installed in the role.
On the medical team, replacements for Katie Harris, who left her role in May, and Gwen Holeyman has been made with four new physiotherapists joining the club. The new physios are Katie Stephens, Laura Hill, Angharad James and Hollie Thomas, after the board decided that more than two would be needed. Sian Downes will remain in her Sports Psychologist role.
Darrell Rees has been promised the Captaincy for another season while Jack Thomas has been named as the new Vice-Captain, added to his coaching role.
Higher up in the club, changes have been made both at boardroom level and in other departments. Lee Pemberton has made former player Gareth Harvey the club's new Chief Executive, while James Naik, Ross Pope, Jason Dodsowrth and Chris Townsend have been invited to the board, joining John Warren, Jack Henry and Richard Cross.
Min Witts has left her role as PR Officer, with Amanda Waddell replacing her. Sheridan Clarke will remain as Commercial Manager, with the role being divided slightly with Stuart Fleming, who will become the Social Secretary. Kim Mathers has been appointed as Community Officer, a new role at the club, while Catherine Powell will remain as Merchandise Manager.
